Sweet little Mikayla was born 2 weeks early on July 27th, 2010. As many of you know by now, our growing family had made the decision to move from Colorado to my husband’s home in Houston, Texas. Let me just say that moving out of state, with a family, is definitely alot harder than when you’re younger and can fit everything you own in the back of your 1997 Cavalier, lol!
After two months of searching for our own place, we FINALLY found a rental in Alan’s childhood neighborhood. We signed the lease on a Friday, were moved in by the following Monday and Mikayla came that Tuesday! Talk about cutting it close!
And so, after 38 weeks of waiting for our precious little princess to arrive, here are Mikayla’s FIRST photos! And you can bet that there will be plenty more to come!

I had a great session with Michelle and Brandon a couple weeks ago. It started out as a nice day but of course like Colorado does, the weather changed and it got pretty brisk! We braved the chilly wind and got a number of awesome shots and had a few good laughs with the “locals” lol!
Enjoy the images, Michelle is gorgeous and can you believe she is 8 months along?! Faaaabulous!

I wanted to try and get a few updated shots of Mr. Munchichi, he’s proven to be much faster these days and has a shorter attention span so I gave up and started photographing things in the yard that were not capable of moving… at all, lol! I found this little guy peeking around our tree and caught a shot before he could dart off into the woods! PS – We don’t have woods nearby, ha!

We had a busy day of painting today and by the end of it all we were pretty wiped out. After giving Mr. Munchichi (aka Ryan) a bath and getting him ready for bed, big bro was so kind as to read books to him while I relaxed on the rocker. When I looked over at the two of them, I couldn’t help but to smile then suddenly jumped from the rocker down the stairs and grabbed my camera! *and note to self, pregnant women should never move that fast, ouch!
